I'm working my way through the "A Song of Fire and Ice" series by George R.R. Martin. The first 2 books, "Game of Thrones" and "A Clash of Kings" were very intense. The author is highly descriptive, but overall good. I must admit I get a little bored reading some of the battle scenes. There is so much going on in the book that any boredom I encounter doesn't last long. There are a lot of characters to keep track of and lots of twists. I hope to watch the TV series these books inspired one of these days.
I was recently on a waiting list at the library for Christoper Paolini's last book of the Inheritance Series... called "Inheritance". I typed my review as a comment on my earlier post, here.

Finished book 3 by George RR Martin, "A Storm of Swords" a week or so ago. I think with each book the author ties you further and further into the story. Even my dreams have been affected.
