"She Went All The Way" By Meg Cabot

Sent to me by my friend, Laura. (Thanks!)

Good book! Gets a little steamy. It had a bit of action and was hard to put down. With all of the snow in the book and all of the snow we're having this winter, I've been thinking about pieces of this book for weeks. A definite recommend.

no quote for this one.

"Left Bank" By Kate Muir

(Thanks for the book loan again Laura) :)

Wow.
This book is not what I thought it would be (from reading the back cover). It sounds sort of nice & pretty with a hint of suspense. It is actually more gritty, rough & satirical with a sense of bursting from a cocoon.

This book is not for someone that upsets at reading about poor morals. (The book goes rather into depth with the husbands affair.) However, there is always a silver lining in the cloud... not going into much detail on that.

Not really light reading, but not heavy either. Overall enjoyed the more serious nature of the book & would recommend it. Especially to those people who'd understand philosophy a bit more than me. I suspect that, if one were reading this book in a literature class, one would get more out of it than myself.

A quote of a quote in the book...

"To have been always what I am; and so changed from what I was"

"Rusty Nail" By Joe Konrath

My second book on audio by J.A. Konrath. The first one was gross & this one might be more gross! He is a good writer, but I recommend that you do not have a weak stomach. Also, this book came before "Dirty Martini", so if you want to read them in order, start here. This book is about a very disturbing killer. Lt. Jack Daniels is after him. The author has Jack & the killer, Alex, narrating the story. I am happier when it isn't the killer's turn! At any rate, it is a hard-to-put-down type of book, so if you want some mystery in your life, enjoy!

"Dirty Martini" By Joe Konrath

Okay, so I technically did not read this book; I listened to it. Hopefully, that's alright with you all.

You may not want to read or listen to this one while eating anything. It is about this female detective Jacqueline "Jack" Daniels who is trying to catch "The Chemist". The Chemist is running around town, killing people with food, injecting disease into the food & setting traps. It is a very good book though, hard to put down... er, press stop? :) I'm going to have to check out more of this series.

If you are having trouble finding this book/series, the author also goes by J. A. Konrath.
