The main character has major change in her life and she needs to work hard to get the ducks back in a row. There is legend involved, which reminds me of the books I have read by Kristin Hannah. (Her books also take place in the Oregon/Washington State area.)
Two of my favorite things about this book are the quotes that begin each chapter & all of the cooking involved in the book. (The recipes are in the back of the book!) A word of caution though... there are some sex scenes that get pretty steamy, so if you are someone who isn't into that type of book, move on.
a little different, these are some of the chapter-leading quotes (in lieu of quotes from the book)...
"Left to themselves, things tend to go from bad to worse." –Murphy's Law
"Life is a series of collisions with the future." –José Otega y Gaesset
"When love and skill work toether, expect a masterpiece." –John Ruskin

Glad you liked it, K! : ) I blushed while reading the sex scenes too. Lol. I tried one of the recipes, and it was sinful; some kind of chocolate cookie (can't remember the name).
: )
Hey, Kendra. I noticed that Mia King has a new book out. :D
