"The Last Picture Show" By Larry McMurtry
So, I was wondering past a bunch of antique stores the other day and I couldn't pass the book store without going in. I might have an addiction to books?!?! For the most part, I was able to curb my spending to just 2 books and this was one of them.
Larry McMurtry is a Pulitzer Prize-Winning author, so of course, this had to be a good book. The cover described the story as, "teenagers stumbling toward adulthood, discovering the beguiling mysteries of sex and the even more baffling mysteries of love." I expected the book to get a little raw, and it did, but the author has a way of pushing the boundaries of writing and before I knew it, I was reading some of the strangest words on paper that I've ever read. I won't spoil it, but this is a good read as long as you have an open mind.
