I bought this book because Emily Giffin is one of my favorite authors. The 5 books I have read of hers have characters that are all tied together in some way. ("Something Borrowed", "Something Blue", "Baby Proof" and "Love The One You're With".) You don't need to read any of the other books before this one as the author fills in where there would be blanks otherwise.
This book really pulls on your heart strings, is written well, and is very emotional. It is emotional because of what the characters go through – Tessa and Valerie – each a different torment, but tied together. I don't want to tell you too much and be a spoiler, so you should just read it!
